With a kitchen in need of a little TLC, Laura set out to create a contemporary integrated space that was both stylish and practical. She saw endless potential in the spacious open-plan layout – perfect for her newly expanding family!
Laura chose vinyl flooring in Mimosa from Neisha Crosland’s Parquet range for her kitchen and dining area. With its Celtic inspired pattern and soft gold tones, it lifts the space and is a wonderful focal point for her design scheme. Luxury Vinyl Tiles are a brilliant choice for kitchens as they’re so easy to clean and maintain, as well as being slip resistant, comfortable underfoot (so you can ditch the slippers!) and are available in a stunning range of colours and patterns.
The look is tied in with cool grey cabinets, simple white subway tiles in a classic brick design, and accents of black and burgundy. The overall effect is fresh and contemporary, yet full of character with a twist of country charm. It looks beautiful!
The white painted welsh dresser and mismatched chairs create a cosy feel in the dining room, and Laura’s clever use of zoning adds purpose to the space, separating the adjoining living room whilst maintaining the bright and open interior. For more information, check out our Zoning & Borders page.
“I’m absolutely thrilled with the floor and the overall look. The Parquet design gets lots of compliments from visitors and is very easy to clean – so important as we have 2 cats!”
